Volunteer Event at Journey's End Refugee Services

We have teamed with Journey's End Refugee Services to get our hands dirty at their Brewster Street Farm. This small urban farm is equipped with a high tunnel to provide season extension and training opportunities. All produce is grown by the refugee farmers in raised beds that they can call their own. Located in a food desert, the Brewster Street Farm is a vital component towards creating affordable access to healthy, organic food for residents.

The first 50 volunteers to sign up will be guaranteed an assignment and we will work with Journey's End to tailor additional volunteer opportunities (such as building raised garden beds or neighborhood cleanups around the Brewster Street Farm) as necessary for any additional volunteer sign-ups. Rest assured, there is no shortage of work to be done and we will make sure that we put all of our volunteers to work to help Journey's End. 

*Journey's End is requiring that all volunteers sign a liability waiver which requires that all volunteers are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on the date of the event
